Wedding Color Inspiration: Yellow
People
either LOVE or hate yellow. I happen to be a lover. Yellow is the color of the
sun, of gold, of daffodils—one of my all-time favorite blooms—and many, many
other yummy things. I love to use yellow as a wedding color, so when
photographer Burcu Avsar and artist and stylist Helen
Quinn recently shared their new photographic color study with me, I immediately
wanted to share it with YOU.
I
often pair yellow with gray. It cuts the saccharine sweetness, and these
stunning images, shot at the Bellocq Tea Atelier in Greenpoint,
Brooklyn, are a brilliant example of just that. See these images as a rich
exploration of color and texture. Perhaps they’ll inspire your own wedding day
color palette?
Wedding Color Inspiration: White
Pure white can make your wedding more soft, just like this color, it spreads that your love is simple, clear, and noble. Decorating your wedding venue with white flowers, white accessories will be more elegant. And then the bride dressing a white Chiffon Wedding Dresses walking on the red carpet, these would be perfect match, actually a white vintage wedding dresses would be also OK.
Wedding Color Inspiration: Blue
If you
love the idea of light blue as a wedding color but aren't sure what to pair it
with, we say...go for the gold! Pale blue is a soft, pretty, romantic color,
and it's anything but babyish when you pair it with bold gold for a wedding. A
touch of shining gold adds a feminine and opulent twist to light blue that is
perfect for wedding decor and accessories, and it lends itself particularly
well to vintage wedding style. Here is inspiration for more ways to do light
blue and gold at your wedding.
